Pair the jail entry with the court order when the legal reason matters. The District Clerk holds felony files, while the County Clerk handles misdemeanors. Court documents may show a bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, or jail credit, but they may not show the sheriff's processing time.

Why Fayette Releases Leave Rosters
A custody roster, when an agency offers one, is built to show people held now. It is not a permanent booking history. Once staff complete a bond, sentence, dismissal, transfer, or other authorized exit, the person can drop from the active view. Fayette County does not publish even that live roster on its official corrections page. A missing result therefore has less meaning here than it would in a county that posts dated booking entries.

Fayette County Release Facility
Fayette County Jail, housed in the Justice Center, is the only operational adult detention facility identified in the county sweep.
